Make your own flower crowns

I said in my last blog I wanted to make my own flower crowns. This morning I headed off to hobby craft.
So all you need is...
Some gardening wire
Gardening green tape
Artificial flowers (depending on your colour scheme) go smaller if you want something delicate and discreet. The bigger the more bold a statement!
Metal plyers.

Cut the wire to fit around your head. Then cover it in the green gardening tape.
Then wrap the flowers around tightly. Once it's covered then go back over them in the green gardening tape to cover any sharp ends.

And then voila your flower crown/ hairband is complete! Roll on the summer. I can't wait to see my bridesmaids in these!

Bridal hair- Flower Crown

I was recently thinking about how to style my bridesmaids hair for our wedding, and I've decided on floral hair crowns. At first I was going to buy them, there are some lovely ones on Etsy. But once I started looking I realised how easy it was to make them.. so I'm giving it a go. I'll post the outcome over the next few days...
Ebay and hobbby craft have everything you need to get started... wire check, gardening tape, foam roses and some foliage and away I go,
Heres my inspiraion. I can't wait to get crafty!

Cocktail o' Clock

A cocktail hour is becoming more and more popular in the UK, due to us Brits pinching ideas off our fellow stateside friends, so heres a few images to display, decorate and have fun with your own cocktails and other drinks... Have fun with it, theres something here for everyone!

Fruit sticks and little messages

Champagne Flutes dipped in Glitter

Champagne and love notes

A champagne tower

Pink champagne with raspberries

The alternative Bride

Ever wanted to break the mold and wear trousers to your wedding ala 'Bianca Jagger'?  Then the latest SS15 Haute Couture collection by Giambattisa Valli then might be just what you're looking for. This may be a maxi dress, but imagine this first image as a pastel pink jumpsuit, sashaying down the aisle? Pastel fur to accessorise is a must, and those mesh/ bow head pieces are so devine I might have to incorporate this into my wedding look, but maybe in white. Its clear the 70''s trend is not only infiltrating the high street but the brides too!

Who needs confetti?

These days a lot of wedding venues won't allow your guests to throw confetti at the bride and groom ue to the mess it leaves behind, so I've searched for alternatives so you dont have to miss out on that special photo moment when exiting your venue.

Throwing paper planes..
Whether you make them yourself, with sweet personalised notes, or buy the retro foam types, throwing paper planes can make a great alternative to confetti. There easy to collect up, cheap and can make great wedding photos, plus it keeps kids and the big kids occupied for at least another 5-10 minutes.

Buy Foam glider planes on amazon for £5.65 for 48.

Blowing Bubbles
Bubbles have never looked so good. This option is slightly more expensive to the paper plane alternative, but bubbles can make a great alternative to confetti and can also keep your guests entertained.
